Concrete Polishing & Restoration Services

Revitalize your existing concrete surfaces. Whether you need a premium mechanical polish or a cost-effective sealing solution, we deliver durable and sustainable finishes for homes and businesses.

Bring Your Concrete to Life

Concrete is no longer just a subfloor—it is a modern, durable, and aesthetic design element. However, not all shiny concrete is the same. At Golden Coast Epoxy, we offer two distinct methods to achieve the industrial look you desire: Mechanical Polishing (refining the stone) and Grind & Seal (coating the stone). Discover which system fits your project below.

Concrete Polishing

The ultimate sustainable flooring solution. We mechanically refine the concrete surface using progressively finer diamond tooling to achieve a glass-like finish. This process hardens (densifies) the slab, creating a surface that will never peel or flake because there is no topical coating.

Grind & Seal

A cost-effective alternative to polishing. We grind the top layer to clean and prep the concrete, then apply a high-performance topical sealer (Epoxy, Urethane, or Acrylic). This creates a protective barrier against stains and moisture while providing a beautiful ‘wet look’ or matte finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Generally, no. While mechanically polished concrete looks like glass, it provides surprisingly good traction when dry. However, it can be slippery when wet. For areas that get wet often (like entryways or manufacturing zones), we recommend a «Grind & Seal» system with an added anti-slip aggregate for maximum safety.

Yes, but with expectations. Polishing is a «transparent» process—it enhances what is already there. It will not hide cracks, patches, or stains; instead, it highlights them as part of the «rustic/industrial» character. If you want a perfect, uniform look without seeing the underlying imperfections, a coating system (like Epoxy or Grind & Seal) is a better choice.

Think of it like wood: Polishing is like sanding the wood until it shines naturally (permanent, no coating to peel). Grind & Seal is like sanding the wood and putting a clear varnish on top (the varnish shines, but can scratch or peel over time). Polishing is more expensive upfront but cheaper to maintain; Grind & Seal is cheaper upfront but needs resealing every few years.

Rubber flooring is water-resistant and non-porous, making it easy to clean sweat or spills in a gym setting. However, it is not a waterproofing membrane. If large amounts of water get underneath the tiles or rolls, it can get trapped. We recommend rubber primarily for indoor, dry environments like gyms and playrooms.

Maintenance is simple. For Polished Concrete, use a microfiber dust mop daily and a wet mop with a pH-neutral cleaner weekly. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar/bleach) as they dull the shine. For Rubber, simply vacuum to remove debris and mop with a mild soap and water solution.
